Menacing Ceramic/Burlap Horror Doll

Thrift Shop Hell

Part of my photo project Thrift Shop Hell, documenting weird and wonderful thrift store finds from the Upper Midwest.

Menacing Ceramic/Burlap Horror Doll

Menacing Ceramic/Burlap Horror Doll

This is one of those really weird rustic-kitsch things.

You know, the kind where you pretend that you sewed an adorable child’s doll out of reclaimed burlap and your great-aunt’s doilies but ACTUALLY you bought a fake, ceramic, burlap-textured horror movie villain, and every time you like a photo of a mason jar on Pinterest, it grows

a

little

bit

stronger.
