These images are a subset of my ongoing pixel art project sp8cebit.  They depict real celestial objects captured by the Hubble telescope and released through the Hubble Heritage project.  (The Hubble Heritage project, by the way, is responsible for some of the most beautiful images in astronomy, and I strongly encourage you to check it out).
